Goal
This one-day, small and informal workshop (Rockville, Maryland, November 13th, 2008, from 9AM-6PM) is sponsored by the
to review and exchange findings in this fast evolving area of research, as well as to discuss the often difficult experimental
complexities of merging in vivo imaging and cellular manipulation techniques with behavior.
This meeting was organized by Alcino J. Silva, Joshua Trachtenberg, Karl Deisseroth, Karl Svoboda and Rui Costa.
Participation in the workshop is by invitation only and we have carefully selected the number of people involved to
insure a frank and open exchange of ideas in this fascinating but complex area of research.
The emphasis is not on in vivo cell imaging and manipulation technologies but on using these technologies to understand
behavior and its disorders in animal models.
Atendance to the workshop is by invitation only
